Mail Rules stopped working

Is this forum still alive? Anyway…

I’ve created five mail rules that move emails with matching senders from my Inbox to other folders.

Worked very well first, then on the second day they stopped working — my Inbox is now flooded. Did not touch the rules (or other settings for that matter), they just broke out of the blue.

When they did work, I would occasionally get negative count of unread emails in my Inbox; maybe this is another manifestation of the same bug?

BTW, it would have helped if there were “Apply rule(s)” command/option in the UI — to apply a rule to messages in the Inbox. This is standard (and very helpful) feature of MS Outlook.

Would appreciate any help — if anything other than MailDroid Pro fix can be done… I’ve purchased MailDroid Pro (was using K9 for ages) for its filters (mail rules), and it just kills me that precisely this feature has broken. I get tons of notifications, and w/o filters any email client is half-usable to me at best.
