Hi Folks
Wileyfox Swift – been running maildroid for a couple of years but when the operating system changed to Android 7.1 it stopped working. I think that might have been when Cyanogen OS was pulled. I uninstalled/reinstalled Maildroid and it works and sends mail instantly as before but receiving mail takes hours to load or fails completely.

Typically the message “network is down” is displayed at the bottom and mails are listed but cannot be opened or take a very long time to load.

Sometimes an error message is displayed at the top of the screen “connection to mail server has been lost(cant connect to server.(failed to create new store connection (connect timed out))) and in the centre screen “Data cant be read. Connection to server might be lost”

Any solutions please (sorry cannot upload the screenshots)

I have the same problem. It doesn’t matter what email client I use or what phone or what carrier. I constantly get network down or network timeout messages. I was tempted to go back to Apple but instead upgraded to the S8+. I just hope at some point Android is updated to fix the issue. As annoying as it is I am learning to manually check my email if I haven’t gotten an update in a bit.

I am guessing it is a power saving thing that has been added to Android but I haven’t been able to find a setting to fix it. Just have to wait I think.
