I’ve run across a strange problem. I thought perhaps it was a setting issue but I’ve gone through everything and I can’t find it. I’ve got three devices, each running their own version of Maildroid Pro (three separate licenses). NONE of these devices are rooted.
1. Android 5.0.2 – Works great. No problems at all.
2. Android 4.4.2 – Demonstrates the problem.
3. Android 5.1.1 – Demonstrates the problem.
Here’s the problem. Some of the embedded images are not being displayed. I know there is an image because I see the little icon that shows there is an image attached (little icon of a mountain) but nothing is displaying in-line. If I click on the mountain icon, I can select and view the images. They’re just not appearing inline.
Now, here’s the really strange part, they (Android 2 and 3) are able to get some emails with the embedded images working just fine. But not all emails. The problem was noticed because someone sent baby pictures to my mom (Android 3) using Outlook on iOS. But, that’s not the only thing that demonstrates the problem. I have a personal site that emails images that consistently demonstrates the problem (on Android 2 and 3, Android 1 is fine). I’m happy to help in any way I can to troubleshoot this problem
I’ve compared settings on all three devices and they look the same to me (Android 1 is mine). It sort of feels like a setting issue but I believe I’ve verified that everything is as it should be.
